Welcome to the offices of Drs. John and Fraser Sherrard. Our entire orthodontic team is dedicated to providing you with the highest level of orthodontic care.

Initial Exam and Consultation
Your first visit to our office will include a comprehensive examination that will allow the orthodontists to recommend if or when treatment is necessary. It is also an opportunity for you to have questions answered, discuss any concerns, and meet our orthodontic team.

We use many visual tools to fully explain any orthodontic problems and treatment options (including what the various orthodontic appliances look like and how they work). Your orthodontists will discuss with you exactly what is involved in treatment, what results can be expected, and how your active participation can maximize these results. We are confident that you will feel very well informed and have all of your questions answered by the end of this first visit.

Before the initiation of any orthodontic treatment, diagnostic records must be made so that the doctors may finalize the diagnosis and create a detailed treatment plan. The diagnostic records consist of photographs, any necessary x-rays and plaster models of the teeth. The records are thoroughly reviewed to ensure that no small details are overlooked and the treatment plan is custom designed for each patient.

Regular Appointments
After your braces or other appliance(s) are inserted, you will need to see our orthodontic team every 6-8 weeks, unless otherwise specified by the orthodontist. Regular checkups with your family dentist and dental hygienist are also necessary every 3-6 months during your orthodontic treatment. Once the braces are removed, custom retainers will be made to preserve your new beautiful smile!

Payments
We work hard to make orthodontics affordable and have many financing options available to suit any budget.

  • If full payment is made at the start of treatment, we will offer a 5% fee discount.
  • We work with a financing company, Credit Medical, that can finance your treatment over 1–4 years at a low interest rate.
  • We offer in-house, and interest-free financing that requires an initial down payment then monthly payments spread over the course of treatment.
  • We offer the service of direct billing to your insurance company whenever possible – relieving you of the stress of insurance paperwork.
Oral Hygiene
We offer instruction on how to properly clean your teeth when your braces go on. It is of utmost importance that proper oral hygiene is maintained. We will monitor your cleaning throughout treatment.
